|
The New York Public’s Library’s Center for the Humanities, New York, NY, USA |
This was the first exhibition to document the nonacademic
literary movement during and after the 60’s. Apart from a signed copy of Patti Smith’s "7th Heaven"
the show included the original Tombucteau Press publication of "Basketball Diaries"
by Jim Carroll and Allen Ginsberg’s publication of his poem "Siesta in Xbalba"
which he created aboard a ship in the Alaskan Sea 1956.
