On 16 February 2000 Patti Smith and her Band played a show at the Bowery Ballroom to promote the new "Gung-Ho" record, which was simultaneously broadcast on the internet.
A month later an edited version of the show with interviews between the songs was broadcast on Cable-TV, a day after the official release date of the record.
There were several replays of this show all over the world in the following years.
