This movie is basically a silent movie with b/w super 8-footage shot by Kral and Poe in and around CBGB’s in the early 60s. Sound was added later, but not in sync with the pictures.
It contains fascinating glimpses of early per-formances by The Patti Smith Group, Television (post Hell), Blondie, Johny Thunders & the Heartbreakers with Richard Hell and many others. The raw low-tech-home-movie style reflects the feeling of that period.
Almost all of the later documentaries about Patti Smith use some of that footage.
